God Bless America

We started our 4th of July doing breakfast and a neighborhood parade with a group of good friends. It was quite the sight, something I had never experienced in WA - tacky, obnoxious decorations on every moveable object possible - scooters, tricycles, golf carts, skateboards, wagons. You name it, it was decorated to the hilt with dollar store paraphernalia. Operated by kids and adults, young and old, prideful of what America stands for. It was a memorable experience and fun for the kids. After the parade we hit up a few block parties - another thing not big in WA. There were bounce houses, slip n' slides, full on bands with people dancing in the streets, hot dogs and more hot dogs. Another memorable scene. Then it was off to my girlfriend Lara's parents house who live in Corona Del Mar to play a little frisbee golf and watch the amazing fireworks show over the ocean. A-mazing. How can they say we are in a recession after seeing hundreds and thousands of dollars being ignited into the air for 15 min of entertainment? Truly the American way.

Whoa...BIG boy!!!
